This 8 days tour you will visit Queen Elizabeth National Park , cimpanzeee tracking, gorilla tracking  boat and cruise and various stopovers.

Itineraries

Day 1

ARRIVAL

Entebbe Botanic Gardens Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, you will be received by our company professional driver guide who will take you to your hotel in Entebbe. He will give you a few highlights about Uganda and set up a pickup time for the following day.

Day 2

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Today after an early breakfast at the guest house, you will drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Queen Elizabeth National Park was named after Queen Elizabeth II and it was established in 1954. The park is in western Uganda and covers an area of about 1,978 square kilometres. Within this park there is Lake Edward and Lake George and the Kazinga channel. The vegetation in the park is mostly open savannah, green meadows, semi- deciduous tropical forests, dense equatorial rain forest and dense papyrus swamps. A lunch stopover will be at Igongo Cultural Centre where you will have lunch and take some minutes to visit the centre and learn about the culture of the Ankole people. Proceed to QENP where you will do a short game drive on the way to the lodge. You might spot animals like Elephant, Buffalo, Warthog, Kobs, Waterbuck among others as well as birds.

Day 3

Queen Elizabeth National Park

Start the day with an early game drive, it takes from 2-4 hours. You will expect to spot animals like Elephant, Buffalo, Lion, Warthog, Hyenas, Leopard, Kobs, Hippos, Giant Forest Hog, among others as well as birds like Martial Eagle, Black- Rumped Buttonquail African Skimmer, White Winged Terns, White-Winged Warbler, African Skimmer, Verreaux’s Eagle-Owl, Grey-Headed Kingfisher, Papyrus Gonolek among others. Return to the lodge, refresh and relax at the pool. Later drive to Mweya Peninsula where you will have lunch, with a view of the Kazinga Channel and the surrounding vegetation. Take a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel which is a 40 kilometre long water body that joins Lake George to Lake Edward. The activity takes around 2 hours and you will expect to spot various wildlife on the shores like hippos, elephant, crocodile, monitor lizard among others. Water bird species can also be expected like; White-faced Whistling, Spur-winged Plovers, Squacco Heron, Fish Eagle, Pink and white backed Pelicans, Long tailed Cormorants, African Jacana, Yellow backed Weavers, open-billed Stork, Water-Thick knee, Pied kingfishers, African Fish Eagle, Wattled Plovers, the Black Crake and the Knob-billed Ducks. Return to the lodge where you will have a sundowner and overnight stay.

Day 4

Chimpanzee tracking

Today you will go for Chimpanzee tracking. This will be after you have had breakfast and after getting a briefing at the Kyambura park gate. The trek takes between 1-4 hours depending on the location of the chimps that day. While tracking chimps you might spot other animals like Warthogs, Buffalo and Elephants as well as various birds. Return to the lodge, refresh, have lunch and check out. Transfer to Enjojo lodge which is in Ishasha sector (the southern part of queen Elizabeth national park). Do an afternoon game drive where you will look for the tree climbing lions. You will expect to spot the lions relaxing in the trees as well as other animals living in the park. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 5

Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest national park

After breakfast at the lodge, have your packed lunch with you and transfer to Bwindi. As you drive through the wilderness, watch out for the tree climbing lions. If lucky, you might spot some of them. Bwindi national park is in the south-western part of Uganda next to the Virunga National Park and on the edge of the Albertine Rift. Bwindi national park is a home to various animal and bird species. This includes over 214 species of birds and 120 species of mammals. Bwindi national park is well known for its endangered mountain Gorillas. Apart from the gorillas there are other animals like the L'Hoest's monkey, African elephant, African green broadbill, Grauer's rush warbler, Chaplin's flycatcher, African giant swallowtail among others.

Day 6

Gorilla tracking

An early morning breakfast, go for a briefing at the park headquarters, in accompaniment of guides and armed rangers, you enter the thick tropical forest to begin the Gorilla tracking activity which takes 2-10 hours depending on the movements of these gorillas. When you find the gorillas, you will be given an hour to watch the gorillas as they feed, play and groom, you will also hear some of the sounds they make as while communicating. You can take photos and videos of the gorillas. Other animals and birds might be spotted too and these include the L'Hoest's monkey, African elephant, birds like the African green broadbill, Grauer's rush warbler, Chaplin's flycatcher, African giant swallowtail among others. After tracking, return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay

Day 7

Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

After breakfast, have your packed lunch with you and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. The Park is in the western part of Uganda. It is a home to animals like Zebras, Impala, Buffaloes, Buffalo, Topi, and Eland among others. While visiting this park you can go on a boat ride, and spot Hippos and Crocodiles and various water birds like the rare shoebill stock, Pelicans, Black crake, Heron, cormorant, fish eagle and many others. Refresh and relax at the lodge. Later in the evening, do a night game drive where you will expect to spot various nocturnal wildlife living in the park. Dinner will be at the lodge.

Day 8

Transfer back to kampala for depature
