This includes tracking the chimpanzees. The main tourist destinations to visit include; Kibale National park which is a primate world with over 13 primate species such as chimpanzees, olive monkeys, vervet monkeys, white and black Colobus monkeys and so much more. Kidepo national park, Pian-Upe game reserve and the home of Rhinos - Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary.

Itineraries

Day 1

Travel to pian-upe

After an early morning breakfast, you will be met by your guide for briefing about the tour. Thereafter, you will start your tour with a drive to Pian-Upe Game reserve northeast Uganda.
Found in the Eastern Uganda, north of Mount Elgon east of Soroti. This is a high plateau area of rolling plains with black cotton soil drained by intermittent watercourses flowing westwards into Lake Kyoga.
You will pass by Sipi falls for a view of the amazing falls and proceed to Pian-Upe.
You will travel to Pian-Upe for 8 and ½ hours. On reach your accommodation you check into your accommodation and prepare for the famous signature dazzling sunset on the Mountains.

Day 2

Drive in pian-upe game reserve

After an early breakfast, you will drive to Pian-Upe Game reserve for a game drive. There is a large variety of mammals in the area include: lions, leopards, cheetah, giraffe, buffalo, waterbuck, Uganda Kobs, mountain reedbuck, roan antelope, Jackson’s hartebeests and Oribis. Most of the eland, Oryx, topi and zebra migrate into the area to breed from North Bokora and Matheniko reserves and migrate northwards when the rains begin. Birds include ostrich, secretary bird and yellow-billed shrike (Corvinella corvina).
After your game drive, you return to the hotel for lunch and later return for Cultural visit. You will visit the Edong dancing community that will entertain you with dance and drama.

Day 3

Transfer to kidepo valley NP

After an early breakfast, you will drive to the Kidepo Valley National Park and check in your accommodation, relax and prepare for a late afternoon game drive. Kidepo Valley National Park is the only place where you can see Cheetahs. The park is also home to several herds of elephant, giraffes, and buffaloes as well as several prides of lions that can easily be spotted.
Today, you will spend the afternoon doing game drives in Savannah plains of Kidepo valley national park. This park hosts a great variety of animal species of animal species Carnivores existing include lions; side stripped jackals, leopards, black-backed jackals, various small cats as well as spotted hyenas.

Day 4

Ziwa rhino sanctuary

After breakfast, you will drive to Murchison Falls National park in Northern Uganda. One of the rewarding activities while in Murchison you will spot herds of buffaloes, Uganda Kobs, giraffes, elephants and several other wild animals that flock the river Nile to drink water. You will pass by the amazing home for Rhinos.
Ziwa Rhino sanctuary is located in Nakasongola district, 176 Kilometers from Kampala. There are currently 22 white Rhinos in the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, which you will enjoy while on your Rhino tracking in Uganda. Make a stop in Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and check out the endangered white rhinos.
Games drive will last for 2-3 hours and can easily be guided by an armed ranger.
You will check into the lodge for overnight.

Day 5

Game drive at murchsion falls N.P

After an early breakfast, you will head to the national park for a game drive. Today, you will able to experience beauties within this park as you drive along the Nile Delta stretch. You will sure likely see several animals including, lions, leopards, jackal, elephants, giraffe and several other species of the Albertine rift birds.
In the afternoon you shall have boat drive to catch a glimpse of the beautiful falls

Day 6

Nature at bigodi wetland

You will drive to Kibale Forest National park via Fort Portal town. You will have a stop in Fort Portal town for lunch before proceeding to check in at Kibale forest lodge. After checking in, you will drive to Bigodi village for a wetland walk. This walk is designed and managed by the local community surrounding the park.
All fees you pay for this walk directly go to benefit the local community living around the Kibale National park. We encourage our clients to take part in this walk as the money raised helps the communities to sustainably manage and utilize the wetland.

Day 7

Chimpanzee tracking

After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kibale national Park headquarters located at Kanyanchu. Here, you will join other trekkers for briefing before you proceed into the forest for Chimpanzee trekking. You will be led by a well-trained and experienced ranger/guide who will take you for a guided primate walk inside Kibale Forest national park. This forest provides an opportunity to visit on of the habituated communities of chimpanzees. You are allowed to spend an hour with these great apes while observing their behavior.
You are allowed to take photographs. So make sure your cameras are nearby. Kibale national park is home to other 13 primate species which can also be spotted while trekking the chimpanzees. Of course there are also numerous species of forest birds. In fact, this is another haven for bird lovers.

Day 8

Back to Kampala

Today marks the end of Uganda safari. But depending on the time, you can have a morning crater lakes tour or just embark on your journey to Kampala. You will have different stop overs along the way for photography and stretching.
