This is a 14 days trip on which you have accommodation of both your own set up tents and lodges. Camping will give you a great experience.
Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival at the airport
When you arrival at the airport, you will be picked up by Bwindi Tours representative guide /driver. He will brief you on how the safari will go.
Later you will transfer to the camping grounds for relaxation, dinner and night stay
Day 2
Drive to Murchsion falls National Park
Following your breakfast, you will head to Murchsion falls National Park. Will head north of the country and first stopover at zziwa rhino sanctuary. It hosts about 15 rhinos.
Then proceed to masindi where you will have lunch and continue to the park. Will arrive in the evening check in and put up your tent then freshen up have dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3
Game drive and boat ride at Murchsion falls
You will have an early breakfast and head out for a game drive in the park. You will see the animals as you wake up and these include the giraffes, elephants, kobs, heartesbeat, buffaloes, vervet monkeys and more. You will head back for lunch and after will have a boat ride to the bottom of the falls.
You will hike to the tour of the falls where the view is spectacular. Take lots of pictures the head back for relaxation, dinner and night stay.
Day 4
Drive to kibaale national park
Have an early breakfast and then drive to fort Portal. Will have a lunch break and breaks for stretching. Will arrive in the evening freshen up dinner and night stay
Day 5
Chimpanzee tracking and nature walk
Wake up to breakfast then head to the park head quarters for briefing and you will be in the compay of the park ranger.
When you find the chimps, you will stay with them for about an hour, observe them and take pictures. After go for lunch.
Later have a nature walk in bigodi wetland sanctuary view a variety of animals like monkeys and birds.
Day 6
Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This journey takes about 3 hours and shall have lunch en-route. You enjoy the sight as you travel. Get to the park and visit the crafts village, will see how the crafts are made and as well purchase some for yourself.
Day 7
Game drive and boat cruise on kazinga channel
With a good breakfast shall go for a game drive in the wild. Buffaloes, antelopes, lions, elephants are some of the animals you will see.
Back for lunch and in the afternoon have a boat cruise on kazinga channel where you see aquatic wildlife like the hippos and birds.
Day 8
Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National park
After breakfast shall embark on the journey to Bwindi. On the way shall go through ishasha sector where you will see climbing lions in the fig trees. Shall have a stop over where you tour a coffee plantation. By even you will arrive in Bwindi.
Set up your tent for the stay
Day 9
Gorilla trekking and community walk
Following the early morning breakfast, shall assemble at the park headquarters for briefing will be assigned a game ranger who will be your guide on this activity.
Depending on the movement of these giantic primates the activity may take 2-8 hours. Will have an hour with them and take pictures for memories.
In the evening shall embark on a community tour of the Batwa people. There after be back for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 10
To lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, embark on the journey to lake Bunyonyi passing through the kigezi highlands. at lake Bunyonyi you have a boat ride and gain the impressive view of it.
Shall have a walk on the islands on the lake to explore the heritage of the local people, schools and their traditional food preparation methods and entertainment. Later head to your lodging to freshen up, dinner and night stay.
Day 11
Transfer to lake Mburo national park
Breakfast then embark on a 4 hours journey to lake Mburo national Park through the amazing landscapes of Southern uganda. In Mbarara, will visit igorongor cultural center and have lunch. Then get to lake Mburo and have a boat ride in the afternoon and have sight of hippos, crocodiles, a variety of bird species. Then head to eagles nest camp for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 12
Game drive
After breakfast, will have a game drive in the park. And in the afternoon head back to Kampala, have a stopover at the equator for pictures and observe what happens to water at these poles. Then continue to Kampala and check into a hotel.
Day 13
Kampala city tour
After breakfast, with your guide, shall embark on the city tour. Some of the sites to visit may include, kabaka's palace, kasubi tombs, Uganda museum, Uganda martyrs Namugongo church etc.
Later head back to the hotel to rest.
Day 14
Transfer back to the airport
Depending on the time of your flight, your guide /driver will drop you off at the airport.
