Itineraries
Day 1
Arrival at Entebbe International Airport
Upon arrival you will be picked up by Bwindi Tours representative who will transfer you to your hotel. He will brief you about the trip.
Day 2
Transfer to ngamba islanda
After breakfast at the hotel, you will be driven to a pier where you will board a boat to Ngamba Islands. This is a habitant for the orphaned chimpanzee s. The boat takes about 45 minutes to cross to Ngamba island chimpanzee sanctuary. After you will return and get to a hotel in Kampala for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3
To Murchsion falls National Park
After the earibreakfast at the hotel, check out and embark on the journey to Murchsion falls National Park. The journey takes about 4-6 hours. Have stopovers for lunch and check out anything interesting along the way.
Arrive at the falls and get to the top of the falls and listen the thunderous sounds of the falls.
Later check in to your lodging for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4
Game drive and boat ride at the bottom of the falls
Have an early morning breakfast at the lodge. Proceed for a game drive in the park. You will see animals like the Jackson heartesbeat, buffaloes, antelopes, lions, elephants, vervet monkeys.
After lunch, have a boat ride at the bottom of the falls. Will get to see the shoebill and some birds.
Day 5
Transfer to Kibaale national park
Today will bark on the journey to Kibaale national park.
This park is a home of several primates like chimpanzee, monkeys. Shall lunch en-route. Get to the park in the evening. Check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6
Chimpanzee tracking and bigodi swamp walk
After breakfast, assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing. Will be assigneda game ranger who guide you. When you find the chimpanzees, you will have time with them at a distance. Observe the and take pictures.
Later after lunch, embark on a nature walk in bigodi swap. Will see some bird species for it's a Haven for birds. You will see monkeys and more.
Day 7
Transfer to semuliki national park
Very early in the morning, transfer to semuliki national Park. Arrive at the park headquarters register and visit the sempaya hotsprings and the pygmies at their settlement at Ntandi.
In the afternoon, have a game drive and see animals like leopards, elephants and more.
Shall engage in a night game drive too. Will see serval cats, slender Mongoose etc. Later go back to your lodge for the night.
Day 8
Chimpanzee tracking and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
After the morning cup of tea. Head out for chimpanzee tracking following the guide briefing.
Have lunch and embark on the journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 9
Game drive and launch cruise
Early in the morning, you will set out for a game drive and meet up with the early risers.
The park has diverse eco system of grassy plains, rivers, craters lakes, swamps, forests
These are homes to a variety of wildlife. This game drive will award you with the view of animals like lions, buffaloes, antelopes, etc.
Have lunch at the lodge.
In the afternoon have a boat ride on kazinga channel. You will get to see hippos and have a moment of photography.
Later get back to the lodge for dinner and the night.
Day 10
Chimpanzee tracking in kyambura gorge and forest walk
In the morning following breakfast, you shall go chimpanzee tracking in the kyambura gorge.
In the evening,have a forest walk and then return to the lodge.
Day 11
Game drive and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
In the morning shall have a game drive in Ishasha sector where is will see climbing lions in the fig trees.
Have lunch at Ishasha sector and later proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 12
Gorilla trekking
Early morning after breakfast and briefing from the UWA officials, shall set out for the search of the endangered giantic primates the gorillas. En-route you shall get to see other primates like the chimpanzee, monkeys and birds. This activity could take 6-7 hours since the gorillas keep on moving up and down.
When you meet the, you will spend about an hour with them observing them for their life style. Later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 13
Full day at Bwindi
This day you will spend it at buhoma village, visiting the Batwa people. You will get to learn more about them like how they live their lives, their foods and how they prepare them, their culture.
You shall endulge into their cultural dances and more.
Day 14
Transfer to mgahinga national Park
After breakfast, shall start on the journey to mgahinga national Park in kisoro. You will have lunch in kisoro town and then later you will have a cave exploration within the park. Return for dinner and night stay.
Day 15
Drive to lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, shall depart for lake Bunyonyi which is the deepest lake in Africa. It has about 32 islands.
Upon arrival, you will have a boat cruise which will enable you to visit most of these islands which are a good spot for birders.
After the boat ride, you shall return to the lodge for dinner and relaxation.
Day 16
Transfer to lake Mburo national Park
After breakfast, shall start on the journey to lake Mburo national Park.
You shall have lunch in Mbarara.
Upon arrival, you shall have a game drive which will give you a view of animals like the zebras, buffaloes, elands and More.
Later go for an evening nature walk along the kigambara loop.
Day 17
Game drive and boat ride
This morning you shall have a game drive to meet up with the early risers. You will also get to see the animals you missed in the previous game drive.
In the afternoon, you will have a boat ride on lake Mburo. You will get the chance to see the crocodiles, hippos up close.
Day 18
Hyena walk and transfer to Kampala
Early morning, you will breakfast and after go for a hyena walk. You will a guide from the park who will be a security personnel for safety purposes.
In the afternoon set off for Kampala. Have lunch en-route. Shall have stopovers at the equator in kayabwe for water experiments and photography. Then go to a crafts village for sourveniors.
Then continue back to Kampala or the airport.
